... when a plan comes together.
Das sind die ersten Blöcke meines neuen Quilt-Projekts. Die Schemazeichnungen, die ich bereits lange vor Weihnachten angefertigt hatte, lagen seitdem startbereit im Hefter. Aber mal abgesehen davon, dass ich weder die Zeit noch die Muße hatte, dieses Großprojekt anzugehen, hielt mich auch ein klein wenig die Angst, es könnte in die Hose gehen, zurück.
Nun, was soll ich sagen... im Moment sieht´s so aus, als könnte es was werden.
erster (einfachster) Block und wie er entstanden ist
first (most simple) block and its development
This is
the sewing process of the first block of the quilt that I´m working on
at present. I told you that I had already drawn the patterns before
Christmas. I was a little afraid I wouldn´t manage to piece them - well
I knew I could piece them, of course, but wasn´t sure if I could
fulfill my own requirements... however, meanwhile I think it could
become a nice one. I don´t know, how many circles I will make ( maybe
13) and how the quilt will look in the end. The only thing I know is,
that it will probably become the first one with a dark background.
der zweite Block - second block
Diese beiden dind bereits letzte Woche entstanden. Parallel hierzu habe ich schnell noch ein kleines Geburtstagsgeschenk für meine Mama fabriziert. Sie liebt Hühner, Ostern und alles, was damit zusammenhängt. Die Eierwärmer aus der neuen "Il était un fil" fand sie ganz toll und ich war froh, dass ich nicht lange nach einem passenden Geschenk suchen musste.
Before continuing with the blocks I made these egg cozies for my mum´s birthday. She had seen them in the new "Il était un fil" magazine. I noticed that she liked them and was glad I didn´t have to search for an appropriate present.
Sunday saw me in front of the sewing machine, again. And until today I´ve managed to make
another two blocks.
Well, I guess I´m back again. Puhh!
Neben dem ganzen Geburtstagstrubel habe ich es irgendwie geschafft, noch zwei weitere Blöcke zu nähen. Sieht so aus, als wäre ich wieder im Geschäft. Ich bin jedenfalls schon ganz gespannt, wie´s weitergeht. Ihr auch?
