... I´ve already written about 50 Posts. I love to write. Not because I like to hear myself talk but rather because it offers the opportunity of some kind of self-reflection or to communicate with somebody at all. Although I like to communicate I am a person who enjoys to be alone. The consequence is that I talk to myself - quite often, actually - and sometimes in English. But as you might guess it´s not so easy to understand as my English has become quite bad during the past years. I used to do English studies in my former life and still love the language. I hate to be not able to write in English in the same style as I do in German... (I like to play with words and use idioms, being a little ironic, with a touch of black humor) - and I hate to forget. Since a couple of years I seem to forget. Not in that sense as one might think - rather in the sense of becoming more and more dumb. You know what I mean? Not being able to keep up my knowledge from former times combined with the physical afflictions one starts to get at our age sounds like a mere catastrophy. I frequently resolve to prevent both but I never start to do so. Maybe trying to translate (some of ) my posts into English might be a good start.
But as you see... sewing is also some kind of getaway. And where do I get next?
One option is the winter project I started collecting fabric for about two years ago. To be honest I´ve planned this project since ages.
On the other hand I would like to sew a small wall hanging with the saying "my house was clean last week...". In my imagination it has been finished and placed on our door, yet, but in reality not even the design has been made. So no picture.
But since I don´t want to leave you without a picture of one of my works I will search through my files and send you these:
For those of you who aren´t bothered by this flood of words and pictures, yet and who would like to have a look at the scrapped boxes, please scroll down a little further.
